Oracle 10g Free Training : Starting and Stopping the Agent : This tutorials explains Starting and Stopping the agent through Enterprise Manager command-line utility and Enterprise Manager. When you install the Oracle Management Agent on a Windows system, the installation procedure creates three new services in the Services control panel. Oracle Management Agent: Use this Service to start and stop the Oracle Oracle SNMP Peer Encapsulator: Use this service only if you are using the advanced features of the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). Oracle Oracle Peer SNMP Master Agent : Use this service only if you are using the advanced features of the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). Oracle Figure 1. Agent Services window Figure 2. Agent Services Window You can directly start or stop these services through services window in windows operating system or use the EM command line utility. Go to Execute emctl status agent command to get the status of the agent as shown in figure below Figure 3. Agent Status Window You can start the Management Agent using the Services control panel.
